Are the Democrats Ready to Walk the Plank for Obamacare?

Do you believe the Democrats are ready to walk the plank for Obamacare?  I most definitely do.  You see after watching the heath care summit the other day it became very clear to me that the Democrats are not running the show anymore in their own party.  The shots are now being called by a bunch of ideologues called progressives.  These progressive have come out of hiding and hijacked the Democratic Party.  They now hold key positions and exercise a great deal of influence when it comes to the party direction.  Traditional Democrats are on the outside looking in.  They are operating from a position of weakness.  What’s most dangerous about progressives is that they are true believers in the ends justifies the means notion.  And what I mean by this is that if passing the healthcare bill means political suicide, well if it was done for a greater cause, so be it.  They have an all or nothing mindset.
FDR played this same game with the “New Deal” when trying to get around the Constitution.  There were many acts in the New Deal that a number of people were against.  The Supreme Court even ruled that some of the acts were unconstitutional.  Well that was until FDR threatened the Supreme Court by introducing the Judiciary Reorganization Bill of 1937.  This was a radical move by a progressive President to intimidate the Supreme Court.  Our Constitution did not matter, because the ends justified the means.  This bill if passed would have granted the President the power to appoint additional judges to the Supreme Court for every sitting justice that was over 70 1/2 years of age.  From that point on the Supreme Court lost its equal but separate branch status and became an ineffective arm of our government.  And again our beloved Constitution was trampled by yet another progressive President.  During that time another unpopular program was rammed through congress.  That program was the Social Security Act of 1935.  There was even talk of eventually repealing it, but like most government programs, once the first person got a check it was here to stay.
This is exactly the plan of the progressives today.  They plan on pushing through this terrible unsustainable burden on our children no matter what.  Yes that’s right even if it cost them their seats.  Why?  Because they’re ideologues, blinded by the own progressive ideology.  A core belief they embrace is that they know what’s best for us.  We’re not as smart, so we can’t possibly understand the complexities involved in crafting a bill to get around the Constitution.  Oops did I say that; I meant we can’t possibly understand the complexities of the health care issues facing our nation.  There, that sounded much better.  Oh yea, and they also know that once a government program is established, short of the end of world, it’s here to stay.  Even if new leadership comes to power, it becomes very difficult to repeal the law.
This is why I tell people that the key to stopping this Constitution destroying madness rests within the states.  States created the federal government not vice versa. The states hold most of the cards, not the federal government.  For me there is no doubt in my mind that they’re going to push this bill through.  The fake healthcare summit validated what I was feeling.  The only thing that is slowing it up now is the finalization of backroom deals.  But these backroom deals are not for state kick backs or organizations that supported the President getting exemption cards.  No these backroom deals are for crafting job safety nets for all the Senators and Representatives that are going to commit political suicide for voting for this liberty stealing bill.  You see everyone in Washington DC has a price.  Don’t believe for one moment that these Democrats from red states or red districts that vote for this nonsense won’t be taken care of by the progressives.  Trust me, they will.
On last thing, for those of you sitting on the fence still trying figure out if the progressives have the resolve to push this thing through.  Watch the below video of longtime progressive Princess Pelosi.
So do you think they have the resolve?  As the say in North Dakota…You betcha!  This monstrosity of a bill is going to become law…no matter what we say or do.

The STATES are the KEY!  Get to know your local state representative and email, write, or call your governor.

Liberty forever, Freedom for ALL!

I sincerely hope you are wrong, but people like Nancy Pelosi seem to be focused on making their progressive ideas into law and policy for the rest of us. The fact that we do not need or want them, or the fact that they are not telling the truth about how those ideas and policies will affect us seems to not matter to them.

    Thanks for the comments LD.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling that I'm not. Like I said, the ends justify the means and that seems to be the plank….I mean path these ideologues are walking down or off.

Well said John. I wish you were wrong, but that has been my thinking as well. They do seem to be set on sacrificing themselves, or at least their elected offices, for this monstrosity. As you well pointed out, assurances have been made to those that vote for this, and then lose back at home. However, I would remind those Democrats that useful idiots are usually discarded once the revolution is through.

    Thanks for the comments Matt.

You are so right about the useful idiots comment. They don't even realize they are making themselves obsolete. Once they have nothing more to contribute to the cause, they will indeed be discarded.

Thanks for the comment Chris. I make a good point that if the Dems really wanted to pass this they would have done it already. Maybe this is all one big distraction while other things are being worked and passed that do as much damage to this nation.
