DISTRICT 8

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi wants fellow Democrats to sacrifice their political careers to get this healthcare bill pushed through Congress.  Have you ever stopped to consider why it’s so easy for her to vote yea on this terrible bill?  Well look no further than California’s District 8; Nancy Pelosi’s Progressive kingdom.  District 8, which encompasses most of San Francisco, is an absolute progressive/liberal fortress.  Its voters are so far left that I’m convinced if Karl Marx was on the ballot against George Washington, Marx would win by a landslide.  The last Republican to win this district was Jack Z. Anderson in 1950.  He ran against the Progressive John A. Peterson and won with pretty strong numbers, (83% to 16%).  However since 1952 the Democrats have held the seat with the closest race in 1972.  The Republican garnered 47.1% of the vote that year.  Pelosi won the seat in 1992 and has reigned as the supreme progressive for 16 years.  She has had the unwavering support from the inhabitants of District 8, enabling her to achieve landslide victory after victory through 2008.  As a matter of fact in eight elections she only dipped below winning 72 percent of the vote once. Those are indeed some progressive…I mean impressive numbers for Pelosi. Below is a map of her stronghold.

District 8 is carved out around the city in a hook like manner.  Within the fortified progressive walls are some of the most hardcore leftists that live in America.  So you can see why she has little to fear when voting radically left on just about anything.   The people that support her want to spread their alien progressive ideology throughout the rest of the country.  In fact, the only way she would lose is if she started to drift to the center on issues.  Her constituents simply wouldn’t tolerate such a move.   A recent poll late last year ranked her as one of the most despised politicians in Washington.  Her ruthless partisan tactics and her progressive ideology have contributed towards our current polarizing atmosphere in Washington DC.  And for the most part I’m ok with that because she’s not really a Democrat; she’s a Progressive and there’s a huge difference.

Now she wants her fellow Democrats that come from conservative districts to commit political suicide and vote yes on this controversial and I believe unconstitutional healthcare bill.  A healthcare bill that in normal times should have died after the message Massachusetts voters sent Washington back in January.  But these are not normal times and she is not a typical politician; she’s an ideologue.  She distracts the voters by blaming the powerless Republicans for causing all the delays and spreading fear and misinformation about the healthcare bill.  The truth is has nothing to do with the Republicans.  It has everything to do with the Progressive Democrats fighting the Democrats.   You see there are still a few traditional Democrats in the party that are not 100 percent sold on this radical healthcare bill.  These traditional Democrats call themselves “blue dogs,” and for the most part they’re opportunist that swing the way the political winds blow. They don’t necessarily embrace the progressive ideology or believe that the cause is the greater good.  They are typical politicians that would like to be reelected and have an ok feel for the political climate.

So when Pelosi stands with her hammer raised high in one hand, she is trying to impose her will on a less than supportive House of Representatives.  She can’t understand why so many of her fellow Democrats are fearful of the astroturf movement taking place across the nation.  I mean after all she wins quite easily every election cycle, so what’s the problem.  The problem is Nancy is blinded by her progressive ideology and is trying to lead or bully a bunch of frightened little politicians that still want to play the role of a Blue Dog Democrat.  She herself has nothing to fear or lose because the fix is already in for her to be successfully be reelected. That fix is District 8.

The best thing we can do is keep driving home the point of how disconnected District 8 and people that share the same progressive views are with the rest of the United States.  Their radical leftist beliefs are simply not in sync with the majority of America.  Hopefully the traditional Democrats in the Senate and Congress will figure this out soon, because as it stands now they’re the only thing standing in the way of this terrible healthcare fantasy becoming an ugly reality.

Liberty forever, freedom for all.

Outstanding post, John. Pelosi does come from "moonbat central." She's running her party off a cliff, and she, and her constituents, are cheering it on.

Great post… The Kool-Aide drinkers rule supreme in the "Granola State"…

My only concern is that my oldest daughter and granddaughter live in Ca. California is the 10th largest economy on earth and they're about to go belly up… I got an urgent request from one of her friends on Facebook to "save the Japanese dolphin"… Their state has a 50 some billion dollar shortfall and they're sending money to Japan… If we wouldn't have to bail their asses out, I'd say let California fail on its own… Stupid is as stupid does…

OK… It's really early here in Florida, just had a cup of coffee and perhaps the Japanese dolphin is a species of dolphin that is indigenous to Ca…. Stop hugging trees and save yourself, the planet will be fine…

    Thanks for the comments Matt.

You are so right way you say she is running the party off a cliff and being cheered all the way. I just wonder when average, hardworking Americans that call themselves Democrats are going to wake up and see their party is now full of leftist loons.

Thanks for the comments Born Again.

It appears their priorities are indeed out of whack. You have a state that is in the red deeply and you're worried whether an ant or a dolphin should be saved. That's why I say their beliefs are alien to the rest fo America. They're so far out there it's actually scary.

I can think of several adjectives that would be fitting to use for Nancy Pelosi. Vindictive, spiteful, manipulative, ect. etc. I do not believe I have ever known of a politician whom I distrust more than her.

Thanks for the comments LD. I know what you mean. She is a progressive on a mission and she doesn't care who or what she plows through to achieve the progressive agenda. That includes the Constitution.

Fantastic Post!! The beings who live in District 8 do seem like their aliens. Pelosi is one witch that really irks me.

Thanks for the comments Teresa. Yes the beings that live in DISTRICT 8 do have alien beliefs as compared to the rest of the nation. We need to quarantine it so this progressive disease does not spread.
