Beware: The EPA Cometh

This is a follow on post of yesterday’s post “Does the Constitution matter anymore.”  First off I would like to inform you that my two Senators from North Dakota, Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad voted in favor of allowing the EPA to regulate carbon emissions.  Yes that’s right, two Democrats that represent one of the most conservative states in the union voted along with 51 liberal Democrats to abandon their principles and oath to support and defend the Constitution.  These two Democrats represent one of the largest coal, oil, and agricultural producing states in the nation.  They voted to allow the EPA to regulate carbon emissions in our state.  Fortunately for us and the nation Dorgan is retiring after this term so that is one down, but there is still one to go.  Kent Conrad is up for reelection in 2012 so I will do everything in my power to make sure the word gets out about his voting record.

I pulled this from the Say Anything Blog: The EPA getting the authority to regulate greenhouse gases would be devastating for North Dakota. Our three largest industries – coal, oil and agriculture in no particular order of importance – are all carbon-heavy industries. Federal regulation on carbon emission means fewer jobs and less prosperity for North Dakota.

If you would like to know how your senator voted click here.

Please take a look at the regional map of the EPA.  You will need to find out who your regional director is.  The director for region 8 is James B Martin.  For those living in region 8 you had better get familiar with this name because as of Thursday he has been granted permission and the authority by the Democrats in our senate to regulate the carbon emissions in your states.  Sooner or later the good citizens of this country are going to wake up and figure it out and vote this people out of office.  Sooner or later they will see that this is all about power and money and the cost is our liberties and freedom.
It’s time to stand up and hold these corrupt power hungry shameless officials accountable for their votes.  No more saying one thing and doing another.  We must act this November and send a message to those who remain after the election that they work for us and they will honor their oaths or face the music the next election cycle.  If we fail then the Republic will indeed be fundamentally transformed as Rome’s republic was transformed.  This is a condition that neither we nor our children can accept or live with.
So beware…the EPA cometh.
Liberty forever, freedom for all!

I think we are fast approaching the time when we need to start making sure our friends and family with common sense are registered to vote.

I absolutely agree Trestin. We need to become very active and do whatever it takes to vote these clowns out. We need to spread the word and help people see the light. If two Democrat senators from a state that is 1. conservative and 2. a leading producer of oil, coal, and agriculture can vote against regulating the EPA, than what are senators doing for states that don't have the same interest? This is just getting out of control.

I've said this a million times, and it has credence here…

    Elections have consequences.

We had better take advantage of our opportunities come November. We may not have another chance.

  • John Carey June 13, 2010 at 11:09 AM

I absolutely agree Matt! They're not even hiding their intentions anymore.

I doubt "Cap and Tax" can get through Congress, but the back door will be opened by the EPA, and sadly the SCOTUS has given them the authority in a round about way. Great post as usual John. Sorry I haven't been around much lately, but with my wife's illness and other things I have cut way back on commenting.

No worries Ron. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. My personal belief is this is going to create another states rights crisis because North Dakota will not take the EPA regulating carbon emissions lightly. So Congress will ride in on their unicorns and pass a watered down version of Cap and Tax and save the day. This is a political tactic they are using to bully the states into accepting a watered down version.

These people are shameless. Exhaling is now bad for the environment. How long until they use that as justification to exterminate some of us.

Sure it sounds far-fetched but it's happened in the last 100 years.

They are indeed shameless Kristin. They are also irresponsible and corrupt.
