Our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor

I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.  Take some time out of your busy picnic schedules to remember that our Founders’ pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor so that we may know freedom.  By signing the Declaration of Independence all 56 men were committing treason and the penalty for treason was death.

Our nation was born out of the courage of a few.  We must once again find the courage of our Founders to confront and solve the monumental problems that are rotting away the very fabric of our Republic.  I’m confident we will because the Spirit of 76 is part of who we are and what we hope to be.

Below is a clip from HBO miniseries John Adams.

Liberty forever, freedom for all!

It is easy to overlook what they risked.

As this administrations' assault on our personal fortunes continues, it may only be our our lives and sacred honor that we have to pledge… None the less, I'll stand (or in my case sit) with you and every other modern day patriot to insure that the sacrifices of those that came before were not in vain…

    A happy & safe 4th of July to all…

IF NOT YOU, WHO? IF NOT NOW, WHEN?

Trestin it is very easy to forget just how much they risked. We're blessed that such men lived.

It will take the courage of a few more Randy, but I'm confident we will prevail in the end.

It is a special day John, a time to be with family and friends and a time, as you say to remember this special day book marked by history and preserved by all those who came before. Its our turn at the plate and we must continue to uphold the traditions and values laid down by the founders—its not a once in a life time thing, but a constant and on going struggle against those forces who would destroy the works of Washington and Jefferson and the many more who gambled everything for the idea, the dream that became America.
