Bill Whittle: THE END OF THE BEGINNING

Another great piece from Bill Whittle on unions and progressivism, and how both may have run their course.  They both were born out of turmoil in the early 1900s with the intent on breaking the choke hold the robber barons had on America.  But as with most things started with good intentions, it has turned into something quite different.  Over time both have become victims of their own success and intoxicated with power.  They have morphed into what they once so fiercely opposed and are now the modern day equivalent of the robber barons that had once turned our nation upside down.  They  uses their money and power to influence elected officials to write laws that favor their agenda.  Bill Whittle does a great job in he below video explaining this.

Perhaps their days are indeed numbered; however I don’t believe they’re going to give up a good thing.  My guess is they’ll go down swinging.

Liberty forever, freedom for all!

Great post. The new power elite are now the government employees and their unions, other unions, and the crony corporatist, which includes the banksters. And, you are right. They are not going to go away quietly.

Thanks Jim. I agree, they’re like ticks, embedded in our government sucking the life out of us. It’s going to take a great deal of effort to get rid of them.

I was thinking more like tapeworms…or perhaps a virus. 😀

Great post! Bill Whittle is spot on. The unions have indeed become what they originally opposed. John, they may have started out as little ticks but I would classify these unions, elitists, and crony capitalists as leaches sucking the life out of us. These people are only interested in themselves and not what is best for the community and country as a whole. They would keep on stealing from citizens who pay more for health insurance and earn less so that they could continue to pay less for their health insurance and earn more in pay for their shoddy work.

Thanks Teresa. I think leaches is very appropriate for what they are doing to our free market system and our republic. And what’s sad is they don’t even care.

That is a good one John. I also agree that the powers that be are not about to go down without a fight, and they still have fight in them.
