Teeing it up: A Round at the LINKs
First off I want to thank every one who helped spread the word about Coco-Cola’s live positively campaign and their vote for your favorite park competition. As of yesterday Minot’s Oak Park was in 1st place with 1,223,261 votes. We hold a 275,000 vote lead over the park currently in 2nd place. Since last Sunday we have picked up approximately 350,000 votes. Please continue to support this worthy cause by voting like Democrats…early and often. The recovery effort in Minot continues. Work to repair one of our main bridges on a key north and south bypass began this week. They hope to complete repairs actions by the end of August. Additionally the city has seen a massive influx of outside contractors to help in the recovery effort; with this comes a variety of problems ranging from limited areas to stage from and increase in criminal activity. A plan was proposed to create a new multimillion dollar levee system that will provide permanent flood protection to the city. The new system will be able to handle up to 30,000 CFS. The city took the first steps this past week to get the plan moving forward by giving approval to conduct research to see if the proposal is feasible. As for the national news, the focus remained on the debt ceiling debate. The House passed two plans that were quickly rejected by the Democrats in the Senate. Both plans had a balance budget amendment proposal within them. In the end this proves that the Democrats are not and more than likely will never be serious about getting a handle on spending in Washington. Moving in a different direction, Steve over at America’s Watchtower continues to keep the focus on the gun runner scandal and at one point last week was linked by Media Matters and labeled a pro-militia website. You must being do something right Steve to pop up on their radar. Keep it up. I made my rounds this past week and below are links to my favorite articles from the best conservative blogs on the web. So tee it up and enjoy another SENTRY JOURNAL round at the LINKs.

Thank you for linking to my piece. Glad you liked the John McLame-bashing. I dunno how that clown was the GOP nominee in 2008.
