Teeing it up: A Round at the LINKs (Saturday Edition)

Once again we had a very active week.  I’ll start off with what I believe was the most disturbing story of the week.  Longshoreman union thugs stormed a grain shipping terminal in Longview, Washington taking security guards hostage while vandalizing private property.  What makes this story deeply disturbing is not that they destroyed personal property, because union thugs have a long history of this; but that they actually held people against their will for a time and not one arrest warrant has been issued.  Both acts were criminal acts; however holding another human being against their will cannot be accepted in any civil society.  The people behind these acts need to be prosecuted, convicted, and sent to jail.  The Fast and the Furious scandal continues to grow as more and more lost weapons are being linked to criminal activity in America.  The Republican debate took place on Wednesday and I thought Herman Cain won the night.  The President gave his jobs bill speech to a joint session of congress and reminded the American people that even though the passage of Social Security and Medicare violated the constitution, the country is better for it.  Now call me crazy but I don’t think the unfunded liabilities for both programs which total over $95 trillion is good for America or made America better.  It has actually made America weaker by massively increasing our debt and creating a culture of dependency. I don’t know how he can keep a straight face when telling the American people that these unconstitutional programs made America better.  Anyway my point is with all the above recaps is that we are a nation of laws and when we become comfortable with the notion that it’s ok to violate those laws when it suits our needs or to advance a cause then I say we are walking down a dark path.  This is a path that leads to lawlessness, a condition we cannot accept in America.  I made my rounds and visited the best conservative blogs on the web and below are LINKs to a few of my favorite articles.  So tee it up and enjoy a SENTRY JOURNAL (Saturday Edition) Round at the LINKs.

Oak Park Thanks You!

Once again I want to thank all of you for the great articles.  God Bless America on this very special weekend when we take the time to remember those you paid the ultimate sacrifice on this 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.  On a happy note about the Coca-Cola live positively best park campaign, even though it is not official it looks like Oak Park won the competition.  I want to personally thank all the people who linked to the site to help restore our park.  You were instrumental in bringing home this win.

Liberty forever, Freedom for all!
