Teeing it up: A Round at the LINKs
This past week was filled with ups and downs. In the beginning the assault on Herman Cain’s character continued when another alleged victim (Sharon Bialek) came forward publicly with her high profile lawyer Gloria Allred to accuse the frontrunner of sexual harassment. I personally didn’t find her claims very credible and private investigator TJ Ward agrees. His use of a $15,000 voice software program that analyzes the stress level and other factors in your voice has a 95% accuracy rate. When he used the software to analyze Herman Cain’s voice during his press conference to refute the claims, his software determined he was telling the truth. When Sharon Bialek’s voice was analyzed the software showed there was a very high probability they she was not being truthful about the encounter. This program is currently used at 70 law enforcement agencies nationwide, so apparently law enforcement agencies see value in this program in determining if there is a high probability of someone lying. Cain had two solid performances in the debates this past week which helped his cause; however the real winner has been Newt Gingrich. He continues to rise in the polls. The one thing about Newt is even though he is a great debater and would more than likely beat Obama in a debate format he does come with a great deal of baggage. The left with the help of the MSM will use this to attack his character much like they did to Herman Cain.
News of a massive sexual abuse scandal at Penn State broke and by Wednesday the school’s iconic coach (Joe Paterno) and school President Graham Spanier were forced out. Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was arrested and charged with 40 counts of sexually abusing boys. We learned that Iran might be closer to developing a nuclear weapon than previously thought. And finally Ohio voters decided that bankruptcy for their state was an easier option than dealing directly with the massive public union pension and benefits problem their state must deal with. How sad is that? This is how the past week rolled and once again conservative bloggers did a better job reporting what mattered than the MSM. Below are links to some great articles from these bloggers. Please take the time to check them and enjoy another SENTRY JOURNAL round at the LINKs

Thanks for the link. Regarding Newt and Herman… stories and accusations about Cain appear to be trumped up whereas with Newt it is a matter of public fact (like cheating on his Cancer-stricken wife and sending her divorce papers in her hospital bed).
Thank you so much, John. I appreciate it a lot.

Thanks for the link John. A lot happened this week. But one good thing is, it appears 99% of Americans are getting pretty sick and tired of the #OWS “people.”

Thank you John for the link. Great roundup as always! Isn’t it amazing that the software package showing little risk of untruthfulness from Cain gets NO press.
Maggie@MaggiesNotebook recently posted..Elena Kagan: As Obama Solicitor General Kagan Had No Part in Defending ObamaCare – Yeah, Right! Remember Kagan’s Abortion Distortion?
You’re welcome Maggie and yes it’s funny how we hear very little about the analysis. You know what else is interesting, as soon as questionable things began to come out about the accusers…the MSM shifted their focus and stopped pushing the story. The damage is already done I’m afraid. If I was Cain, I would go after Bialek for slander.

They will go after our candidate like there is no tomorrow. It’s a shame we don’t have an unbiased press any more. The founders were always concerned something like what we have today would happen. Keep up the great work.

thank you so much for the link. also for the info: I hadn’t heard about that voice analysis yet. Your analysis of Cain v. Gingrich is right on par with my opinion too. Newt sounds so good now, but it’s so hard to trust him based on his long political career.
Linda recently posted..Dream Eaters
You’re welcome Linda. Of course you didn’t hear about the voice analysis story because it helps Herman Cain. As a matter of fact it’s funny how the story kind of died out all at once. Mission accomplished, Cain numbers have plummeted. This is gutter politics at its worst.
John Carey recently posted..Some thoughts from the cheap seats on congressional insider trading
Thanks so much for the linkage for both blogs. It certainly has been a crazy week with the Cain allegations and Penn State abuse allegations. Sad in both cases. With regards to Cain he is most likely being falsely accused for political opportunism and possibly for fame and in the case of Penn State the accusations are most likely true, which means monsters screwed up the lives of young boys.
Have a great week, John!
Teresa recently posted..Study Finds Patients in "Vegetative State" Often Misdiagnosed
You’re welcome Teresa. I think that this is a tactic used by the left to target social conservatives. The tactic is designed to place just enough doubt in the social conservative mind to turn them away from Cain. It’s effective. Take a look at his poll numbers.
John Carey recently posted..Some thoughts from the cheap seats on congressional insider trading
We have been as impressed of Gingrich as you have. We certainly agree with you that he would beat Obama in a debate.
