Ron Paul Ad Exposes Newt Gingrich

I think this is one of the most powerful campaign ads I have seen to date. For those who believe Newt Gingrich is a rock solid conservative who will advance the conservative cause and change the way business is done in Washington; well Ron Paul begs to differ.  Check out this powerful ad.

It pretty much nails Gingrich right on the chin and every bit of it is true.

I saw this ad earlier and it really does nail Gingrich for being the fake conservative he is. Gingrich seems to have quite a few people fooled but he is no better than Mitt Romney.

The reason he has people fooled is because people are ready to accept anyone but Obama. And people are still somewhat uninformed about Newt.

That is a powerful ad. Newt has been on every side of every issue. He is an operatic bloviator, so there is plenty of fodder out there of him saying all kinds of stuff. He is not a conservative, he is a statist. His state would just be a little smaller and pointed in a slightly different direction than Obama’s.

Exactly! So why are so many conservatives throwing their support behind him. Where is the tea party people. I mean Newt and Romney are both the poster children for big government politicians.

Fannie Mae will be Newt’s biggest obstacle, as Fannie Mae is largely responsible for the state of the average American’s asset meltdown. When he thought there was no political future for him, he wrote books and then he sold his soul to sell them – thus his ‘confusion’ on manmade global warming. He had to sell books to progressives.

He does have a great deal of baggage. I believe if the conservatives don’t get it right this time around there will be a third party in the future and this could lead to a permanent Democratic majority and that scares the heck out of me.

That is a pretty powerful ad. Although, he has stated he regrets doing that ad with Pelosi. IMO Newt is better than Romney. Is consulting for a company really the same as lobbying? The ad is mostly true but some of it is disingenuous since Newt has denounced and explained some of his positions.

The question I have, is his denouncement disingenuous because he running as a candidate? It is very clear that Newt has a history of turning to the government to solve our problems instead of turning to the people. I think Newt is a clever politician who will say what he needs to say to win the nomination. His record and actions in the past speak for itself Teresa and this is what we must use to judge his worthiness as a conservative.

I’m afraid that the personal attack of Ron Paul on Newt Gingrich will have two results:
1- Silence from Gingrich. He will not respond and keep with his “Reagan” campaign strategy of staying positive on fellow Republicans.
2- That will serve Gingrich well and will keep advancing in the polls.
2b- The attack, coming from Paul, might be a blessing in disguise for Gingrich.

I don’t see it as a “personal” attack against him. I see it as an ad that highlights the man’s inconsistency on the issues. That’s fair game and people should know this. It was only 3 months ago when Newt slammed Paul Ryan’s plan to reform Medicare to keep solvent. I believe he said Paul Ryan was social engineering an issue. How dumb of a statement was that???

I certainly agree with you, John, that the “social engineering” statement of Gingrich was pretty dumb. He learned from it and since then he has done something that politicians seldom do, and Obama is incapable of doing, to acknowledge that those are “two of the dumbest things he has ever done” (The other was in reference to the couch scene with Nancy Pelosi). The man agreed with you.

We will never get a president that has never made mistakes; but we can get a president that knows and admits when he makes them.
