Back in April 2002 Ron Paul stood on the House floor and made some bold predictions about where America was heading and what the future held for us. This was a full year before the commencement of U.S. military operations in Iraq. He nailed the Arab Spring nine years before it happened. Please take a few minutes and checkout the below video.
Whether or not you support Ron Paul, you have to admit his 2002 predictions were spot-on. How did this crazy out of touch candidate see all these things back then? How did he see the troubled times ahead for America when so many of us didn’t? He saw these things coming because he reveres liberty above all else and when you cherish liberty you can see the things that threaten it. It’s really that simple folks. The establishment abhors Ron Paul because his message of free markets and individual liberty collides with their big government central planning framework. This is why establishment supporting conservatives like Sean Hannity make a point of ridiculing Ron Paul whenever he gets an opportunity to do so. These are the folks who want us to call the primaries now and get behind the establishment’s choice Mitt Romney and move on.
Think about this, since Ron Paul made his predictions in 2002 we have lost more individual liberty in the last 10 years than at another time in our nation’s history. Our politicians have ignored our constitution and infringed on our rights in the name of security. They have passed unconstitutional acts that expand their power to monitor and regulate our lives. We now have a President ignoring the procedural rules of congress and making departmental appointments without the advice and consent of the Senate. This is where we’re at and if we continue down this path it will get far worse. It will not be an outside force that defeats America. It will be the loss of our liberty that will defeat and enslave us from within.
This election should be about liberty. With liberty we as a people can accomplish anything. Without it we are nothing.
Liberty forever, freedom for all!
