Mark Levin tells it like it is…Ameritopia

Yesterday morning on Fox and Friends Mark Levin made a rare appearance promoting his new book Ameritopia.  I really enjoy listening to Mr. Levin even though I do not always agree with him.  He’s not a big fan of Ron Paul or Mitt Romney.  I enjoy listening to his show because I truly believe Mr. Levin gets it.  He understands with perfect clarity as to what’s happening to America.  He sees that liberty and the constitution are under constant siege from both the left and right and believes we’re living in a post constitution America. He’s a rock solid patriot I have a  great deal if respect for.

I read his first book Liberty and Tyranny and loved it.  It inspired me to start blogging and for the first time engage in the political process.  The book was released at a time when conservatism was on the ropes.  After the shellacking we took in 2006 and 2008 many conservatives were left wondering where things went wrong.  Some were even questioning whether conservatism was a viable alternative as a political philosophy.  Mark Levin was one of those exiled conservative voices who stood up for conservatism and the constitution at a time when it wasn’t the popular thing to do.  Confidently he proclaimed that conservatism wasn’t dead nor was it in decline.  In fact it was quite the opposite; conservatism was on the ascendency.  His unwavering support for the Tea Party movement in 2010 helped shape the conservative narrative of the 2010 elections.  His efforts directly contributed towards the Republicans retaking the House.  Each day between 6 and 9PM ET he continues to fight the good fight from the “bunker.”  Below is a clip of his interview on Fox and Friends yesterday morning.   Take a few moments to check it out.

I plan on purchasing Ameritopia this weekend.  I have read some of the reviews and I believe this book is going to be one for the ages.  Conservatism is a timeless philosophy because it promotes the sound principles and values that made America great.  It embraces individualism and rejects collectivism.  The timing of its release, like Liberty and Tyranny is perfect; right before the 2012 elections.  My hope is it will reinvigorate me to continue this long journey to change the course America is on and serve as a reminder of how we steered so far off course.

This effort to reestablish the constitution will not be a battle that is won in one election.  It will take many elections with a steadfast focus by all who love our republic and desire to be free.  Stay the course.

Liberty forever, freedom for all.

I heard Levin do a couple of interviews last week as well and I will be picking this book up as soon as I am done with the one I am reading now and I can’t wait to read it. Mark Levin also has another book called “Men in Black” which is about how the Supreme Court is destroying America that you should check out if you haven’t already.

I heard him on Hugh Hewitt talking about his book as I was driving home. I loved his analysis of Plato’s Republic and how it applies to modern-day statists of all stripes. The man is brilliant. I’m buying the book and having my kids read it as well.

I have always believed that in order for us to advance the conservative movement we need to continue to read books from great conservative minds and Mark Levin is one of those minds. It’s a great idea about having your kids read it. Whenever we have the opportunity we should always arm our children with information. It helps build a strong foundation against the liberal bias in our education system.

Hopefully the conservative movement can survive the Republican party.

I could not agree more. By the way, one can get replays of his program on his website anytime, without commercials for the most part- free which is great.

Liberty and Tyranny was a great read! I am presently reading Decision Points by George W. Bush but will definitely be purchasing Levin’s new book after I’m done reading Bush’s book.
