Vice President Joe Biden is going home to Delaware.

The updated White House calendar for Aug. 17 reports that “in the morning, the Vice President will meet with senior advisers. Later, the Vice President will be in Wilmington, Delaware.”

“There are no public events scheduled,” said the 5:36 p.m. White House announcement, titled “Daily Guidance for the Vice President.”

Biden’s retreat home during the increasingly frenetic 2012 race comes amid increased criticism for his campaign-trail performance..

But, when Meghan McCain can legitimately call you and idiot?

Meghan McCain blasted Joe Biden for his controversial “chains” remarks on Tuesday, calling the vice president an “idiot” over his “race-baiting” comments.

“I’m just so sick of this BS from [Biden].” McCain said. “I can’t stand Joe Biden because I think stupid is worse than being mean.”

Well, boys and girls, that means that it’s over. Whether that’s the end for the election, or perhaps even a sign of the apocalypse, it’s over. Meghan McCain calling the veep and idiot, and being legitimate in that assessment, is a sure sign that something cosmic is out of whack.
