Teeing it up: A Round at the LINKs ( Post-election edition)
First off I want to thank all those who have served in our military and for the sacrifices they have made to secure our freedoms. Happy Veterans Day goes out to all the fine men and women in our United States Armed Forces past and present. I wanted to address an issue today that in my opinion threatens the very freedoms our veterans protect. The issue has to do with voter fraud. It’s been five days since the election and it’s still not sitting well with me. It’s not sour grapes because our candidate lost. It’s something deeper. In all my life I have never felt so sure about an election as I was sure about this one. All the things that cannot be measured by a poll led me to believe along with many political experts who have been in this game a long time that Romney and Ryan would win. There was an energy in the air; a feeling that we couldn’t lose. The enthusiasm was real because you could see it in the large crowds Romney and Ryan were drawing at their events. In fact I told my wife that the only way Obama wins is through massive fraud and now there are mixed reports coming in from many of the swings states of possible voter fraud in key counties in those states. Understand voter fraud is very difficult to prove so don’t expect much out of the claims. In fact the main reason I am discussing it in this post is to continue to raise the level of awareness on this issue. Voter fraud is a direct threat to each of our liberties and our republic and those who commit it must be identified and punished. A few weeks ago The Blaze produced a very good article about this topic. They used the term “spigot cities” to describe what was possibly going on in heavily populated Democratic counties. Even UN observers were shocked to see that the requirement of a photo ID wasn’t a standard requirement at voting locations throughout the nation. This is exactly why we have an Electoral College and why the founders rejected the idea of the President being elected by popular vote.
They feared that public opinion could be manipulated by a tyrant and that the entire voting process could be subverted through fraud. The Electoral College was the checks and balance against this. Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers:
It was equally desirable, that the immediate election should be made by men most capable of analyzing the qualities adapted to the station, and acting under circumstances favorable to deliberation, and to a judicious combination of all the reasons and inducements which were proper to govern their choice. A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to such complicated investigations. It was also peculiarly desirable to afford as little opportunity as possible to tumult and disorder. This evil was not least to be dreaded in the election of a magistrate, who was to have so important an agency in the administration of the government as the President of the United States. But the precautions which have been so happily concerted in the system under consideration, promise an effectual security against this mischief.
You can read more about the Electoral College here. Over the last few years there have been groups pushing a popular vote agenda at the state level where the winner of the popular is awarded all the state’s Electoral College votes. This is a dangerous path to walk down because it not only eliminates the checks and balance in our process that were instituted by our founders, but diminishes the voting power of the electorate. Our constitution was crafted for a moral people and when people lack integrity the systems fails. This is where we are at now in America. There is a large segment of society that wants free stuff and will do whatever it takes to win even if it means cheating. These people are canceling out your vote and perverting the entire system whether its on a national or local scale. This is the danger of a democracy and why the founders chose a constitutional republic over it. They felt a democracy was nothing more than mob rule and the mob would sometimes act in a subversive manner to achieve its goal. The one thing for sure is that voter fraud is a very real problem in America and if it occurs on a widespread basis in selected counties, it can impact an election. I’m sure we will hear more about this in the coming weeks. In the end maybe what happened on Tuesday had less to due with voter fraud and more to do with Obama’s strategy of class warfare and how it worked. In either case maybe that bad feeling I was experiencing was me coming to terms with the notion that America has indeed been fundamentally transformed and is forever lost. That maybe we are the generation that could not keep the republic our founders gave us. Something to think about. Now on to the LINKs.

When you examine the map you can see the comparison of counties won by Romney in red and those won by Obama in the blue. Some how we must figure out a way to convey the conservative message in these blue counties. We must show the good people of these counties how conservative ideas will actually improve their condition and create opportunities for them and their children. They deserve better than government scraps. They deserve a shot at something more than government assistance. They deserve the truth. As you can see by the below map, even though we lost the election we did make up some ground. We still have miles to go and a great deal of work ahead us.
Thanks for all the outstanding articles. You are all great patriots. No one said this was going to be easy. We all understand this a marathon and not a sprint. It will take time to undo 80 years of terrible progressive policies. But undo them we will a piece at a time. One other thing I don’t feel like we have regressed. Instead I feel like overall we have made some progress. Just look at the map The end results in terms of wins and losses might not reflect this progression, but it is there. We must continue to expose the lies of those who wish to enslave us. We must continue to fight for liberty. Have a great week.
Liberty forever, freedom for all!

Thanks for the linkage and agree with you about voter fraud. Just the appearance of impropriety can shake confidence in the system. We need to push for voter ID to bring back a measure of confidence in the system.

You’re very welcome Steve. Yes we need to ensure the integrity of the system is strong. If not less and less people will have confidence in it. My guess those who favor tyranny over liberty what the integrity of the system compromised. They want people to feel as if it is broken and requires fixing.

I’d be surprised if there were not voter fraud, John, But, fraud only works in close elections. This elextion should no have been close. I am disappointed in my fellow Americans.
Have a great Veterans Day, Jonn, and thank you for your service. And, of course, thank you for the link.
Jim at Conservatives on Fire recently posted..“Hope” a poem by the Bard of Murdock
People are losing faith in the system, so therefore they are choosing not to participate in it. This is why there was a drastic reduction in the number of people participating this time around. I agree the election should not have been as close, but when the electorate is largely uninformed, this is what you end up with Jim.

As always, thanks for the link. What’s about to happen to the economy could very well be biblical in proportion. I just finished a conversation with a self-described Libertarian who (IMHO) threw away his vote on Gary Johnson. (Don’t take this as an attack if it describes you). The logic of a “protest” vote under these circumstances sounds to me like “I had to burn down the village to save it.” Hang on tight for the next four years, friend.
LibertyAtStake recently posted..Benghazi Truthing, November 12.
I know what is coming. I voted for Romney in the hope that he would it least work with congress to stop the bleeding. It’s funny you say that about your friend because a few months ago I was talking to a friend about if we don’t address our problems soon we’re going to see economic collapse. He responded that maybe we need to collapse our economy to reset it. I told him he was out of his friggin mind. I then asked him if he had to could he shoot a relative or best friend. He asked why? I said because when people are hungry those who you thought were your friends will turn on you in second to take what you have. That’s what economic collapse brings you…he looked away from me.

Perhaps the reason the GOP numbers were so low is because they were not counted. As I said something didn’t feel right about this election and the more articles I read about the irregularities the more I think that there was enough fraud to swing this thing in favor of Obama. This is classic Chicago politics on a national level. You’re welcome for the link my friend. Keep up the great work.
