Newtown School Shooting: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
No words can begin to express how I feel about the tragic events that occurred today in Newtown, Connecticut. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Newtown community.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
King James Version (KJV)
3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
May God’s unconditional love help heal your hearts. God Bless.

Great scripture pick, John. The families of the victims are in my thoughts and prayers. So are the kids who lost some of their innocence today. May God be with and guide those in the Connecticut community as they mourn and in their struggles during this tough time.

Thanks for sharing the scripture, John. Truly, this is a sad time, both in Newton and across our country. We should never take tragedies like this lightly.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with these families. We cannot possibly understand what they are going through. It is sad that such evil exists in this world.

We live with evil in our world each day. Evil has been with us since the beginning and it will be with us until the end of times.

I pray that some day society learns how to recognize the insane and help them before they do the insane.

Living in a free society means we must live knowing that there are risks associated; however in the overall scope of things I would much rather live in a society that is free than a society that is risk free. Because with the latter there is no freedom or liberty.

Jim hit this comment out of the park… The INSANE do these crimes, and that is the truth of the matter, someone needs to accept the fact that preventative intervention has got to happen at some point.
Someone KNEW this guy was crazy… No one acted…

I agree Fred. Someone definitely knew this young man wasn’t firing on all cylinders. There must be more done in the area. We already have enough gun laws.
