Judge Napolitano explains why the President can’t use the 14th amendment to bypass congress…
I thought Judge Napolitano did a very good job explaining the 14th amendment and why the President cannot use it to bypass congress in regards to the debt ceiling. It appears a number of his political allies in congress are willing to give their constitutional authority up to him in order to grant him the authority to raise the debt ceiling completely unchecked. How pathetic is that? And the President is more than willing to ease their pain and take this burden off their backs. Maybe those who are so quick to shirk their responsibilities as an elected representative of the people should watch the below clip of Judge Napolitano. Who knows, they just learn something.
It’s not rocket science folks. The President can’t use the 14th amendment to bypass congress. If he does, it needs to be challenged.
Liberty forever, freedom for all!

We shall see how much of the 14th sticks with this fine fellow. It will take years to adjudicate his actions.
I agree. He will act and tie it up in the courts.

That was great stuff, thanks for sharing it. I hope that the judge is right and the Democrats are only talking about letting Obama raise the debt ceiling on his own as political posturing and are not serious about handing over more of their power to him. But I just don’t truth them…..

Sometimes I think the President distracts us with issues like this. You wanna know what is near and dear to him, well it Obamacare. Look at all the business he drove its way with his EOs today.

Good stuff, John. We’ll see just how foolish Obama is an a month or so. My guess is the Republicans will fold before he has to make that choice.

I agree. There is no conservative leadership in the party so we’re going to continue to be taken to the tool shed. Obama should lose this discussion hands down if we had someone on the right capable of laying it out to the American people.

Obama, respect the law? I’m not as sure as Judge Napolitano that Obama is really bluffing. But the judge did an excellent job of explaining the 14th Amendment.
