Tonight the President will give his “State of the Union” address and nothing he says will address the “State of the Union.” He will talk about his agenda. He will criticize his opponents. He will touch on every hot button issue except the issue he is there to report on; the “State of the Union.” The truth is we the people already know the “State of the Union” because we feel it every single day.
For the first time in my working career I took a pay cut this year when the payroll tax went up. Gas prices are at their highest level ever for this time of the year. Our national debt is rapidly approaching $17 trillion with no plan in sight to address it. Unemployment is still near eight percent and last quarter our economy actually contracted. The Federal Reserve continues to print money, devaluing the dollar and diminishing our buying power. The middle class is being destroyed by the very President who promised to help the middle class.
Now that Obamacare is finally being phased in we are hearing about doctor shortages and increased insurance premiums. Our rights are being infringed upon by a government that believes we are incapable of governing ourselves and they have an army of uninformed/misinformed voters to back them up. Our constitution is being completely trampled on by a President who could care less about the rights it protects. American citizens can now be assassinated by drones without due process and be detained indefinitely if they are suspected to have ties to terrorist organizations. We are divided. We are frustrated. We are struggling to make ends meet. There are more people dependent on government now than at any other time in our nation’s history and this is the real state of our union.
No matter what the President says tonight, he will say or do nothing that addresses the above issues. Why? Because addressing these issues make them real and when you make something real you are forced to face it. The President doesn’t want to deal with facing these issues and he definitely doesn’t want them to become part of a national conversation because when they do he loses big time. So don’t look for anything ground breaking in the President’s speech tonight. It’s going to be filled with the same old rhetoric; tax the rich some more, spend more money, and those evil Republicans are holding America hostage. This is who this man is and why he is completely worthless. So tonight if you choose to watch it, don’t be surprised when he doesn’t address the “State of the Union.” Be shocked if he does.
Liberty forever, freedom for all!
