John McCain just doesn’t get it…

This past weekend Senators John McCain and Chuck Schumer attacked the plan by a hand full of Republicans to filibuster any gun control bill that might be brought up in the Senate.  Check out the below clip.

Katie Pavlich from Townhall.com wrote a great article on this topic a few weeks ago.  In the article she stated that a filibuster would be a “brilliant move by Paul and Cruz. Reid has already had the ability to protect Democrats from voting on the assault weapons ban, but a filibuster on criminalization legislation would force Reid to either try and stop the talking, which will bring attention to gun control efforts of vulnerable Democrats or will be forced to allow a filibuster to continue, preventing a vote on the legislation.”  You can read the entire article here.

Now if Ms. Pavlich gets it, why doesn’t a leading Republican like John McCain get it?  Those dang “Wacko Birds” are at it again.

Liberty forever, freedom for all!

John McCain. God bless him! Thank you for your service in Viet Nam. But, you’ve gone well past your “Sell by” date, John. Time to bow out gracefully while you still can.

He’s frustrated because he knows he’s getting pushed out. Conservatives want to hear what Ted Cruz or a Rand Paul has to say about an issue. They get the attention while John McCain’s influence dwindles.

No he doesn’t get it and I still can’t believe Arizona didn’t give him the boot a couple of years ago when they had the chance. He moved to the right and they bought it, but he is once again showing his true colors.

McCain is the only Republican who gets it. People want debate, and solutions to issues be made. Right now Congress is stuck in the mud because they cannot come together to make decisions. The far right and far left are destroying America. McCain looks at an issue and makes decisions based on common sense. Not party lines. Most people in America are somewhere between Rep and Dem, and right now the Dems are speaking to those people. I want Obama gone, but until the GOP listens to the moderates, Dems will keep winning elections ( which I agree is bad). The GOP ruined McCain in 2008 by pairing him with the laughing stock of politics, Sarah McCain. Politicians need to think and debate issues, so they can find a solutions. Not just vote along party lines. Wake up, before its too late!

How do you explain losing two elections in a row running two moderate candidates (McCain and Romney)? I say the reason Dems are so successful is because they stick by their radical principles no matter how misguided they are. Conservative should be willing to do the same. Ronald Reagan stood by his conservative principles and not only did he win independents, he won Democrats.
