The Communist Party USA and the Democratic Alliance.

I was on my way home from work listening to Mark Levin when he started reading an article that caught my attention.  The article was a call to action from what sounded like another typical left wing organization rallying the coalitions of power before the mid-term elections.  All the standard Democratic talking points were touched upon; defeat the Tea Party/Republican movement or we will see continued tax breaks for the top richest two percent which will increase the deficit, privatization of social security, repeal of health care and financial reform, no extension of unemployment compensation, outsourced jobs, increased racism and severe limits to democratic rights…blah…blah…blah. Then Mr. Levin revealed that the article he was reading was actually an article he pulled from the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) website.  Now I know … Read entire article »

The European Left – A Not Too Distant Cousin

by RightHandMan  – The promotion of capitalist interests increase unemployment and poverty throughout. – There is no crisis exit strategy without reinforcing real economy and employment, without more justice in the redistribution of wealth, without democratizing power and property, as a condition for mobilizing funds. – Dissolution of the social cohesion and the demolition of the social security system can not be part of the solution but will only deepen the crisis. While you may think that I pulled the positions above out of the “How to Speak Democrat” handbook, these were actualy taken out of a single statement from the European Left’s website in support of a Greek strike. That’s not crazy though. Why wouldn’t the European Left sound like the American left? One would assume, based on their name, that they would … Read entire article »

Democrats: Running on Empty

The more I hear all the rhetoric and emotionally charged words the left is throwing at tea party candidates and the conservative movement, the more I can see that they have nothing substantial to bring to the table.  They’re running on empty with an economy that is in the toilet and the stench of unsuccessful policies that surrounds them wherever they go.  “Blue Dogs” are now distancing themselves from the party because they realize that the mood of the nation has shifted against the Democrats and their progressive political ideology.  After all they’ve spent the last 20 months under the party leadership of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid ramming their tyrannical progressive agenda and horrible public policy down our throats against our will.  These backward policies that are designed to steal our liberties for … Read entire article »

Video: What Would The Founders Do?

I’m not sure if this video has made the rounds, but I found it tonight here.  I thought it was was actually pretty good.  With only 47 days left until Election Day, we need to remember why these people need to go and this is video provide us with a good reminder.  We need to stop falling for distractions and focus on how these people are trying to our ruin economy and destroy our Republic. Truth-Lite: Tell me what I want to hear

Yesterday I was talking to a good friend and we were discussing how many people simply don’t want to hear the truth about the dire straits our Republic is currently in.  Most people prefer some sort of modified less scary version of the truth; a truth-lite if you will. What I mean when I say this is that people tend to prefer a happier version of the truth.  It’s much easier to deal with rather than the harsh painful reality that accompanies brutal honesty or what I call the hard truth.  This is why I believe candidates supported by Tea Party groups are struggling against their Democratic opponents. Sharron Angle is currently struggling with her message in Nevada against Harry Reid.  She was supported by the Tea Party movement in Nevada because … Read entire article »

DNC Strategy: Republican Tea Party Contract on America

This just in, from the brain trust known as the DNC; the new strategy for the Democrats in 2010 is to promote the idea that the Tea Party and Republicans are one in the same.  The snake oil they’re trying to sell to the American people is that it’s a scary and extreme ideology to embrace the concepts of limited government, fiscal responsibility, reforming or ending unsustainable entitlement programs, promoting states’ rights, and challenging unconstitutional laws that encroach on the individual liberties of each and every one us to include the seizure of private property (Financial Reform).  They call it the Republican Tea Party Contract on America.  They couldn’t resist the urge to throw Bush under the bus again by misrepresenting the truth about his tax cuts that are actually cuts across the board and not just for the wealthy, but … Read entire article »

Hypocrisy, How the Left knows Best

by Jeff Mosiman Over the last 18 months the Obama Administration and the Left, led by Pelosi and Reid, have told us how they were going to save us.  Glenn Beck believes that Black Liberation ideology is driving Obama through his collective salvation belief.  As far as the rest of the left, it is simply the illusion of power.  Through the realm of the powerful elite there has been a disturbing trend that the mainstream media refuses to address, much like the carriage makers refuse to believe a horseless carriage would one day replace them, and that is to simply ignore the problem.  Fox News, the blogosphere and access to too much information, according to Obama, has shown the left for who they really are: hypocrites.  While people like Keith Obermann, … Read entire article »

The truth about the American Power Act of 2010

The name has been change from Cap and Trade to the American Power Act but it’s still the same crap sandwich.  The American Council for Capital Formation and the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council conducted an in-depth analysis of the bill in order to study the economic impacts at the national, state, and individual household levels. Below is a summary of their findings. If the American Power Act is passed we can look forward to slower economic growth, a decline in industrial production, jobs losses, dramatic increases in energy costs, and per capita GDP will drop. “U.S. economic growth slows under the Kerry-Lieberman bill, especially in the post-2025 period as the free emission allowances are phased out for both energy producers and energy consumers.”   “Over the entire 18 year period (2013-2030) covered … Read entire article »

Get ready the push for Cap and Trade cometh!

Well Harry Reid is at it again.  He is getting ready to clear the legislative calendar to make a push for Cap and Trade.  Yes that’s right, here we go again.  As you all recall the Democrats successfully rammed ObamaCare down our throats when it looked like it was dead after the election of Scott Brown.  Many of us felt that the Scott Brown win should have stopped ObamaCare in its tracks.  How wrong we were.  And now we’re finding out that the concerns expressed by the critics about the law were spot-on. Then just last week we heard that the Financial Reform bill was in trouble and Harry Reid was hoping to work out some sort of deal to get to the magic number of 60.  Well he didn’t need to … Read entire article »

Socialism is Slavery

I was inspired to write this post by an interview I read over at Trestin Meacham’s blog.  He was interviewing a fellow blogger Hyphenated-American and I was moved by his words. The following is an excerpt from that interview.  TM: Why should Americans be concerned about socialism? H-A: In the final analysis, socialism is modern day slavery. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, democracy, freedom of religion, freedom of association cannot exist in the absence of free market economy. If a man cannot keep the fruits of his labor, if the government has full control over his economic activity – that man is nothing but a slave. Every increase of government’s economic power comes at the expense of individual liberty. Every time government claims its right to regulate this or that commerce … Read entire article »

The people we thought we knew.

I took a day off from writing to clear my head and collect my thoughts.  Last night I visited with some old friends I served with in the military who I hadn’t seen in over 15 years.  They were in the area on business and stopped by our home.  We talked about all the people we knew, wondering where they were and what they were doing now; passing bits of information back and forth about our lives over the last 15 years in the hopes of filling in the missing pieces of each other’s puzzle.  We talked about the good times we all had and for a moment I was whisked back to the early 90s when life was less complicated.  It felt like an old friend and I needed … Read entire article »

Capitalism Lessons for Obama from 1948

Yesterday President Obama called on former President Clinton for his help on the struggling U.S. economy.  It appears Obama is starting to feel the heat from his failed economic policies as more and more people express concerns over his ability to address the nation’s economic woes.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued a scathing critique of the administration’s policies.  The leading business group issued a rebuke of Obama’s economic agenda, accusing him and his Democrats in Congress of neglecting job creation and hampering growth with burdensome regulatory and tax policies.  This is all happening as the Senate prepares to vote on one of the most anti-capitalistic bills (Financial Reform Bill) that this nation has ever seen. It appears that the President and his party are struggling over what exactly capitalism is and how it can actually help restart the economic engine … Read entire article »

Fear for freedom’s future in America

I found this video at Newsmax.  It’s actually pretty good.  Two authors talk about how immigrants feel about Obama and the expanding role of government.  It’s worth a watch. I was just reading an article today about how the communists have infiltrated the Democratic Party.  Most are running as Democrats because they know they can never win running under the communist banner.  They occupy the far left wing of the party, but their ultimate goal is to pull the entire party farther to the left.  This should be troublesome for all freedom loving Americans not matter what party or political ideology they embrace.  Middle of the road Democrats should actually be abandoning their party or trying to push the infiltrators out.  But what’s really sad is how we have reached this point … Read entire article »

DISCLOSE Act Passes House Vote 219-206

Well our Congress has taken the first step to limit free speech going into an election year by passing H.R. 5175.  The vote represents a total disregard for the 1st amendment of our Constitution by making a law abridging free speech.  The only organizations exempt from the bill is the NRA and unions.  The law will take effect 30 days after passage.  It could take years before it finds its way to the SCOTUS for a ruling even though it flies in the face of the recent SCOTUS ruling in Citizens United v FEC.  Listen to Mark Levin’s and free speech expert Cleta Mitchell’s take on the passage of the bill and what it means for all of us here. Democrats inch DISCLOSE Act closer to a vote

Well folks it looks like H.R. 5175 better known as the DISCLOSE Act is close to becoming a reality.  After the NRA withdrew their opposition to the bill last week after a reported deal was cut with the Democrats.  It now looks like the Democrats are close to garnering up enough votes to pass the bill.  The NRA did release a statement shortly after the questionable deal was cut.  You can read their statement here. reported the following on their website:  “Heritage Foundation legal scholar Hans A. Von Spakovsky, a former member of the Federal Election Commission, tells Newsmax that the timing of the legislation indicates its true purpose is muzzling groups that otherwise might freely voice their opposition to Democratic policies in campaign ads.  The Disclose Act, also known as H.R. 5175, is … Read entire article »

NRA deal opens the way for DISCLOSE Act

Well it finally looks like the way is clear for the controversial DISCLOSE Act (H.R. 5175) to be brought to the House floor as early as Wednesday. On Monday, Democratic leaders cleared the bill’s way by cutting a deal with the NRA, exempting the massive gun-rights organization from the Act’s requirements. Democrats in moderate districts were wary of crossing the NRA by trying to limit its campaign ads. You can read more about the NRA deal here. Democratic leaders now believe they can ram the bill, H.R. 5175, through the House without any opposition to stop it. BP wrote what?

Well it looks like BP helped write a major part of the new climate bill that was proposed by Senators John Kerry (D) and Joe Lieberman (I).  Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) made this claim yesterday on the Senate floor. Below is an excerpt from CNS News. “At the same time as Americans wonder when this gusher will ever be plugged, we hear word that the administration and my good friend the majority leader [Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.] want to piggy back their controversial new national energy tax–also known as cap and trade–to an oil spill response bill that could and should be an opportunity for true bipartisan cooperation,” McConnell said. Why Jews are Democrats

by RightHandMan Why are Jews Democrats? This question was posed to me by John days ago. In the context of the current headlines the alliance seems counter productive and even combative. With Helen Thomas telling Jews to get out of Israel and go back to Germany (presumably their “home land”), Obama’s alignment with antisemites such as Jeremiah Wright and Rashid Khalidi, and the democrat’s tendency to be less aligned with Israel than Republicans, it would seem that the GOP would be a safe house for Jewish Americans. So why do 75%+ of American Jews vote democrat in the polls? The answer to this question has many layers. The most misunderstood element in this posed question is is in regards to the difference between Judaism and the Jewish people. Being Jewish doesn’t necessarily … Read entire article »

Financial Reform: How to Manipulate the Mob

How many of you recall when Rahm Emanuel stated that you should never let a crisis go to waste?  When you really dig down into that statement it’s actually quite frightening.  He made this statement back in 2008 and his basic belief is a crisis allows us the opportunity to do things we could not do before.  The below clip aired in 2008, of Rahm Emanuel talking about never wanting a serious crisis to go to waste.  You know like the so called healthcare crisis we were all experiencing.  They sure didn’t let that perceived crisis go to waste.  They passed one of the most intrusive, liberty stealing, unconstitutional law this nation has ever seen with zero bipartisan support.  Completely ignoring the will of the majority with little or no … Read entire article »

The Arizona Backfire

by RightHandMan By now we have all heard of the new racist law that was drawn up by the hateful teaparty movement and passed by the bigots of Arizona.  It’s bad enough that Arizonians live in what is rightfully Mexico, but now they want to actually enforce American law in the land.  Too much! All kidding aside, this new law has stirred a social pot leaving the stale fiscal issues aside to be forgotten, much like my friend John has already stated in previous posts.  The left in this country is trying to turn the attention of Americans away from the failed socialistic agenda and toward the less concrete social issues that leave room for debate.  The reason is simple – they’ve lost the economic argument. Social and fiscal issues are often separated … Read entire article »

Progressives’ high-water mark

In the fall of 2003 my wife and I decide to visit the battlefield at Gettysburg.  Being a civil war junkie, it was a must on my to-do list of historic civil war sites to see before I left this world.  I must say it turned out to be one of the greatest experiences of my life.  We did all the things that tourists do; snapped a few family pictures, visited all the historic museums, and toured the key points of interest on the battlefield.  As the day drifted towards sunset we made our last two stops.  The first was at a placed called Seminary Ridge. Do you believe the Democrats are ready to walk the plank for Obamacare?  I most definitely do.  You see after watching the heath care summit the other day it became very clear to me that the Democrats are not running the show anymore in their own party.  The shots are now being called by a bunch of ideologues called progressives.  These progressive have come out of hiding and hijacked the Democratic Party.  They now hold key positions and exercise a great deal of influence when it comes to the party direction.  Traditional Democrats are on the outside looking in.  They are operating from a position of weakness.  What’s most dangerous about progressives is that they are true believers in the ends justifies the means notion.  And what I mean by this is … Read entire article »

The Ignorance of Chris Matthews: What Does Patriot Mean These Days?

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews’ ignorance about the Constitution and Tea Party movement reached a new level on his show “hardball” when he and far left pal Joan Walsh went after Colin Hanna from Let Freedom Ring.  In an attempt to paint the Tea Party movement as a bunch of non-inclusive racist that embraced the original intent of the Constitution, he and Walsh displayed their progressive fangs as they ripped into the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, and then questioned the definition of a patriot.  It was really disturbing to see.  If you all want to know how the far left or progressives feel about our Constitution and those that wish to keep it scared, all you need to do is watch the following clip.  This is sad but scary stuff. You Stay on Your Side of the Fence, I’ll Stay on Mine

Yesterday Republican Judd Gregg, reached out to the White House with a plan to overhaul healthcare in a bipartisan way.  I normally would support such an effort if the Democratic party was well the Democratic Party of JFK, but it’s not.  The truth is this healthcare bill was written by radicals on the far left and special interest groups that are in bed with the President.  I find nothing in the bill that will improve health care, expand coverage at a lower cost, or bring down the overall costs of healthcare. What I do see is a whole bunch of backroom deals that will push our overall national debt into another planetary system.  I see a great number of people that will still be uninsured and wasn’t that the main reason we wanted healthcare reform to begin with. White House Retools Communications Strategy

Well today I ran across this gem of a story reported by the Washington Post.  It appears that the White House is looking at “retooling” their communication strategy to “produce faster responses to political adversaries.”  Hmmm, sounds like something from the Saul Alinsky playbook.  Yes that’s right, behind door number one is Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.” So what exactly is this new strategy?  Well Robert Gibbs, along with other White House aides described four major changes that have been implemented since Scott Brown upset the … Read entire article »

Paul Ryan’s Roadmap for America’s Future 2.0

I first heard about a plan to get America back on the right track on a conservative talk show a few days ago.  Republican Congressman Paul Ryan, from Wisconsin is proposing a “Roadmap for America’s Future” that directly addresses many of the real issues that are bankrupting this nation.  To my surprise, I learned that this newly released “roadmap” is actually an upgrade and was first introduced in May 2008.  Maybe it never popped up on my radar because it was an election year, but it’s definitely on my radar now.  Below is part of the introduction from the Roadmap’s site. That Pesky Constitution and its Negative Liberties

A few days ago the Supreme Court reminded Congress that their authority to impose restrictions on free speech is limited by our pesky little Constitution.  Especially speech that is political in nature.  In a 5-to-4 ruling, they lifted the ban on using corporate and union funds for electioneering communications and advocacy ads.  Justice Anthony Kennedy writing for the majority said, “If the First Amendment has any force, it prohibits Congress from fining or jailing citizens, or associations of citizens, for simply engaging in political speech.”  Wow how refreshing is that.  Well as you know the decision angered the left.  They claimed big corporations would have an unfair advantage during election cycles and that they would drown out the voice of the people with their corporate dollars.  They also argued that corporate entities should not be afforded the same Constitutional rights as individuals.  … Read entire article »

The Healthcare Bill and The Twilight Zone
