This is a pretty powerful video from RightChange depicting Obama’s response to the gulf oil spill. Judge for yourself and see if you think there was a failure in leadership. Liberty forever, freedom for all! … Read entire article »

The mainstream media is losing it
I found this gem of a video clip over at NewsBusters. It looks like reality is starting to sink in for the Democrats as November closes in. The MSM appears to be losing it. They are starting to see the writing on the wall and they don’t know how to react to it. How can Americans reject Obama’s policies? After all they are all designed to confiscate money and redistribute for the betterment of the collective at the expense of individual liberties. Check out the below clip. Why aren’t the American people getting it? Well maybe because the majority of American people didn’t want this garbage they jammed down our throats. I mean they shouldn’t be surprised. The voters warned them all last summer at town hall meetings and they chose to ignore the … Read entire article »

Americans need to start listening to Paul Ryan
Paul Ryan gets it! He knows exactly where we are as a nation and the direction we’re heading if we don’t get our spending under control. This is a man that more Americans need to start listening to. He is very much in tune with the times and understands what we need to do to get ourselves back on the road to prosperity. We know that the out-of-control spending by our government cannot continue. And yet every time we turn around they are passing another bill that is confiscating money from the private sector to feed another entitlement program we cannot afford. They are desperately trying to get the American people into the “nanny state” frame of mind. The more people they can addict to government entitlement programs the lazier we will … Read entire article »

The people we thought we knew.
I took a day off from writing to clear my head and collect my thoughts. Last night I visited with some old friends I served with in the military who I hadn’t seen in over 15 years. They were in the area on business and stopped by our home. We talked about all the people we knew, wondering where they were and what they were doing now; passing bits of information back and forth about our lives over the last 15 years in the hopes of filling in the missing pieces of each other’s puzzle. We talked about the good times we all had and for a moment I was whisked back to the early 90s when life was less complicated. It felt like an old friend and I needed … Read entire article »

Is the Financial Reform Bill Unconstitutional?
With the Senate on the verge of driving a stake through the heart of our free market system with the new and improved Financial Reform bill (H.R. 4173), I question whether it’s constitutional. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s view on this bill can be summed up in the following excerpt: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today highlighted to lawmakers the regulatory tsunami that will develop from the conference base text, including 355 potential new rulemakings, 47 studies, and 74 reports—and potentially dozens more as implementation begins. “This tsunami of new rules and studies will perpetuate uncertainty and fail to provide clear rules of the road,” said David Hirschmann, president and CEO of the Chamber’s Capital Markets Center. “Business needs certainty, and we urge Congress to provide as much clarity as possible to ill-defined … Read entire article »

Political Sleepwalkers
Sleepwalking is a disorder characterized by walking or other activities while seemingly still asleep. Yesterday I was talking to a few friends that were frustrated with their friends or family members who were still supporting President Obama. They couldn’t understand that with an economy so bad and policies that are so anti-America and anti-capitalism, why their friends or loved ones were still blindly hoping for something that simply wasn’t going to happen with this President or congress. Now some people will refer to these types of supporters as “Kool-Aide” drinkers, or “Obama Zombies.” I personally don’t think it’s that easy to categorize them as such. I believe there is a large segment of society that is simply going through the motions. They are trying to hold on to something that … Read entire article »

Tea Party focus: Local elections
We all remember last September when the Tea Party movement converged on Washington DC to voice their concerns over a broad range of issues from out-of-control spending to Obamacare. Hundreds of thousands of average Americans, many for the first time exercised their constitutional right to peaceably assemble. Their focus was a national focus and they indeed sent Washington DC a message; a message that was ignored. Almost one year later, Obamacare has been rammed through against the wishes of the majority of Americans. Congress and this administration has doubled down with spending, forcing them to raise the debt ceiling again and again. Cap and Trade is still under consideration while at the same time the EPA has been given the green light to enforce carbon emissions regulations. Arizona is under fire for … Read entire article »

Earl Pomeroy and the Local Media
Say Anything » Ethics Investigation of Earl Pomeroy Goes to Next Level I wanted to share good article from the Say Anything Blog. It pertains to an ethics investigation directed at our soon to be unemployed representative Earl Pomeroy. Now to help you understand what we’re up against, the local media in our state has failed to do their job and give this serious issue the attention it so deserves. They mentioned it in the Fargo and Grandforks newspapers as a listed story; however I could not find a word of it in the Minot Daily News or Bismark Tribune. You see we face some of the same issues with the media and their support for liberal candidates on a local level as the entire nation experiences with the MSM on a … Read entire article »

A Glimpse of the Future: Chris Christie vs Disgruntled Teacher
Once again Chris Christie stands up against the Teachers Union in New Jersey and stands up for the New Jersey taxpayer. As I listened to this exchange I couldn’t help but think of the Greece debt crisis and how the unions reacted to the actions of the Greek government. The following is from BBC News. The country currently has a spiraling public deficit of 12.7%, more than four times higher than Eurozone rules allow. The government has pledged to cut this to 8.7% this year, and also reduce the 300bn-euro ($419bn; £259bn) national debt, by freezing public sector salaries, raising the average retirement age to 63 by 2015, and increasing taxes on petrol, alcohol and tobacco. It also wants to crack down on tax avoidance. Greece’s black economy is estimated at 30% of official gross domestic product. So … Read entire article »

Political Ethics
by RightHandMan The Democrats have found a way to live up to Senator Pelosi’s “most ethical” promise – change the standards. It is the same genius that the brilliant AG Joclyn Elders considered when facing the illegal drug problems in America. If you make the drugs legal then crime rates will drop. Apparently Mrs. Pelosi sees eye to eye with this philosophy as the self proclaimed sins of yesterday (“the nuclear option” and “the slaughter rule”) are now preferred legislative processes. Most Republicans are enjoying this moment of finger pointing, but I can’t help seeing the American people stuck between the pot and the kettle. It’s easy to blame today’s hypocritical leaders, but the truth is that this problem is just as much the fault of Republican politicians as it is … Read entire article »

WANTED: One Democrat With Integrity
The Republic hangs in the balance as we all await the outcome of the special election in Massachusetts. If Republican candidate Scott Brown pulls off a miracle win, then he will bring to a grinding stop to the healthcare bill. However if Martha Coakley wins, she has promised to support every effort to jam the healthcare bill through. Can someone please explain to me how we have gotten to this point? And what disturbs me the most is that no one is asking this question. I mean if we really start digging into the dirt we’ll see that there are plenty of Democrats that represent conservative states. How can they sit on their hands and watch their party hijacked by the radical left and do nothing? Where are their principles, their honesty, and most of all … Read entire article »

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Promotes Voter Fraud in Massachusetts
This is absolutely disgraceful. I guess this is the progressives’ idea of democracy in action. Just stuff the ballot boxes or do whatever it takes to steal a win. Holy crap, they’re not even hiding it anymore. The below audio clip was taken from Ed Schultz’s radio show on 15 Jan 2010. Listen to it and decide for yourself. Where is the mainstream media on this one? This comment is so outrageous it should infuriate Americans regardless of their political affiliations! This is America not some banana republic; at least not yet. I mean do we need UN election monitors in Massachusetts to ensure a free and fair election? Has it come to that? Or maybe something more sinister is afoot. Let’s play what if. What if there was a … Read entire article »

Blue Dog Blueprint for 2010…LIE!
This morning I was reading my local newspaper and buried in the region section was a small write-up about how our so called “blue dog” representative was surprised by President Obama. You see, I reside in one of those “red states” that is being represented by a self proclaimed “blue dog” democrat. The state is North Dakota and our lone representative Earl Pomeroy is doing it again. He stated to the AP how disappointed he was in how much he disagrees with Obama “a whole lot of the time too.” If there was milk from my cereal in my mouth at the time I read it, I would have spit it out all over the place. Really Mr. Pomeroy, you disagree “a whole lot of the time” with Obama? Are you … Read entire article »

Things To Focus On In 2010
Well we can finally bury a dismal 2009 and look forward with hope to 2010. In 2009 we saw a variety issues make it to the national stage for debate. From bailouts to healthcare reform it seemed like there was more fundamental change than hope this past year. This change twisted and pulled us in so many different directions we found it hard to focus on any single story. So below are a few things I believe will be significant and you should focus on in 2010. First off the economy; look for higher interest rates and inflation to begin to become a factor in the economy. The dollar will remain weak throughout 2010. Also look for very little job growth. I believe that the unemployment numbers will level off; however I don’t … Read entire article »

Lieutenant Colonel Allen West
Allen West is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. He served in Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, and three Army Commendation Medals. Mr. West earned his Bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee and his Masters Degree from Kansas State University. Both degrees are in political science. He is running for congress in Florida’s district 22. When I first saw this video I was absolutely inspired by this man’s words and conviction. He loves our great nation and like many of us feels it is going off a cliff. He believes the Constitution is the “Law of the Land” and those in Washington are no longer respecting that basic principle. This is exactly the type of person we need running for office; straight shooters that … Read entire article »
