I Support Ted Cruz – Our Champion

It is not as if I haven’t tried to get behind some others and this isn’t a blind move – it was a well thought out decision. Ted Cruz is the one person I can get behind. There are others that I really like. I like Rand Paul (if for no other reason, Thomas Massie supports him) for his principled libertarian beliefs. I appreciate Carson and Rubio for what and who they are – decent men who have a conservative streak in them. Most of the others could drop out tomorrow and I wouldn’t bat an eye. Allow me to explain why Cruz is my champion. I didn’t use the word “champion” flippantly. Champion originates from the 13th century meaning “to fight for, defend, protect” and “one who fights on behalf … Read entire article »

Rand Paul: Standing on principle!

Finally someone in Washington is standing up for our constitution and our individual rights it protects and it’s damn refreshing to see.  Senator Rand Paul has had enough of a President who appears more than willing to shred the constitution by not restricting the use of drones on American citizens on U.S. soil. After receiving a statement from Attorney General Eric Holder that hinted at the possibility of using a drone to kill Americans inside the United States Rand Paul decided to take his case to the floor of the Senate and filibuster President Obama’s CIA nominee John Brennan until he receives an assurance from the White House that drones would not be used against American citizens on U.S. soil. Holder struggled to give a straight forward answer when questioned by … Read entire article »

Obama: “It’s the right thing to do for the country…”

Most of you already know that in the early morning hours on this 1st day of 2013 the Senate voted to increases taxes on wealthy Americans while making the current tax rates on the middle class permanent.  For every $41 dollars in revenue generated in taxes there is $1 dollar in spending cuts.  Nothing and I mean nothing with the national debt was addressed.  Out of control spending was not addressed.  Florida Senator, Marco Rubio hammered this point home when he said, “Thousands of small businesses, not just the wealthy, will now be forced to decide how they’ll pay this new tax and, chances are, they’ll do it by firing employees, cutting back their hours and benefits, or postponing the new hire they were looking to make.  And to make matters … Read entire article »

The Greatest Show on Earth “THE FISCAL CLIFF”

Everyone knows the news cycle drives the topics that Americans focus on.  The current news cycle is focusing on the “fiscal cliff’ and these secret discussions going on behind closed doors to avert a fiscal disaster at the turn of the year.  This so called “fiscal cliff” is a crisis that was completely manufactured by Washington D.C. politicians when they failed to act last year.  It’s an environment that Washington politicians feed off of because it’s nothing more than political theater.  They have an opportunity to grandstand and make empty promises to their constituents.  But in the end it’s nothing more than a show being put on for the American people by both major parties.  It provides the perfect venue for them to do what they do best…lie to the … Read entire article »

Judge Napolitano talks to Rand Paul about his detainment by the TSA

Earlier today in Nashville Senator Rand Paul was detained by the TSA because he refused a full body pat down.  Judge Napolitano interviewed Senator Paul about the events and the circumstances that led to his detainment. I have always believed the TSA and their random searches of American citizens without probable cause is unconstitutional.  An agency like the TSA would never have been permitted to exist 30 years ago because people had  a better understanding of their constitution and the limits it placed on the government.  But over time people have lost their understanding of the constitution and have allowed the slow creep of unconstitutional acts to slither into their lives in the name of security.  We had better wake up folks.  We had better start thinking about liberty again as … Read entire article »
