Demoralized Leftists? Recall Walker Effort Running Out of Gas

Da Tech Guy has been telling us that the left is demoralized. I happen to agree wholeheartedly. The blame for that falls one man: Barak Obama. He has a fawning media, who have dutifully lied, distorted, omitted, and spun at his bidding. He has allies in the unions bosses, with their army of goons. He has “community organizations” at his disposal, who readily intimidate, hire protesters, and file fake voter registrations by the thousands. Hell, even the dead vote for him, often more than once. But even with all of that, there are major problems in liberal land… 1. Obama is having difficulties in primaries: He had problems in WV, where a convicted felon took 40% of the vote. Challengers … Read entire article »

This is What “Democracy” Looks Like? Progressives Attempting to Stop a Vote on “Amazon Tax”

If you recall, Califailure passed a tax on on-line sales, causing Amazon to cancel their successful Affiliate Program in that state. We also know that the regressive mantra in the past year has been, “This is what democracy looks like.” Of course, in Wisconsin, “democracy” meant preventing actual votes from being taken. You know, democracy! In a “democracy,” votes are only to be taken when the outcome suits the regressives. If they will not, well…I guess “democracy” cannot be permitted. Now, back to the Amazon Tax. Amazon is refusing to collect taxes for Califailure, and is campaigning to have a referendum in order to repeal the tax. You know, democracy! However, according to Democratic State Legislators in Califailure, this is NOT what “democracy” looks like… A … Read entire article »

Self avowed communist Van Jones: Selling his snake oil in Wisconsin

Self avowed communist, 9-11 truther Van Jones crawled out from the rock he was under and showed up in Wisconsin to peddle his radical leftist snake oil to a crowd of useful idiots.  Um did I mention he was a self avowed communist?  I would hope that we can find common ground and agree no matter if you’re from the left, right, or center that we do not want communists or socialists setting the agenda for America.  I mean can we at least agree that having communists driving the national conversation is a bad thing.  They spout off their unrealistic government utopia rhetoric, making dependency on government services sound like a wonderful thing.  They agitate the masses, claiming capitalism has failed them and there is another way for people to … Read entire article »

Where the Battle Is Won

John and I have, for some time, promoted the idea of focusing more on the politics within the local and state governments than the corrupt and inept national government.  We truly believe that the answer to our current problems doesn’t start at a national reformation, but at a local one.  Simply put, if we bring the power back to the states the national government will fall in line.  Allow me to provide some evidence to support what we’ve promoted to be effective and hopeful. First, it is abundantly clear that national political victories are, at best, a small source of friction along the path of self destruction.  While the House victories in November were historic in numbers, the actual political outcome has been far from monumental.  The addiction to spending in … Read entire article »

Wisconsin Democrats are undermining our Federalist System

The events that unfolded last week and that are now spilling over into this week with the union protests and Democrats running from their responsibilities to represent their constituents really got me thinking about our system and self governance.  When the founders started us off on our journey as a Constitutional Republic in 1787, it was an experiment on whether a people could govern themselves.  When our constitution was crafted, the founders sought to establish a limited federal government with limited powers.  The constitution purposely delegated most of the powers of governance to the states because it was the states that could best address the concerns of their citizens and not some out of touch bureaucracy 1,000s of miles away.  They understood that the states were in a better position … Read entire article »

Teeing it Up: A Round at the LINKs

Well it’s back to cold weather here.  We had somewhat of a mini-blizzard on Thursday that made for some fun driving.  Anyway this week’s theme is dedicated to Wisconsin and their beautiful golf courses.  With all the union ugliness in Wisconsin these days I thought it would be a nice change to show you some of state’s beauty.  A quick recap on the week; we saw union thugs and misguided teachers along with anarchists and communists protesting the Wisconsin governor for trying to get his state’s fiscal house in order and save 5,500 public sector jobs.  We had a President decide to be a community organizer and inject his opinion into the Wisconsin protest.  His opinion just happen to fall on the side of the unions.  And  finally we had … Read entire article »

Mr. Jackson Goes to Wisconsin

Jesse Jackson finally found his way to Wisconsin where he stood  on the side of the oppressed public sector proletarians who are standing up against the evil bourgeoisie whose leader is Governor Walker.  Yes that’s right Mr. Jackson Goes to Wisconsin to stick his nose in a state issue that has very little to do with the oppressed working class or the rich evil doers asking the workers to kick a little more into their pension plans.  Oh the  horror of it all!  Actually asking workers to contribute a little more into their health care and pension plans.  Maybe Governor Walker should use Obama’s words and call it an investment in their future because that’s what it is. What this is really about  is Wisconsin getting their fiscal house in order; … Read entire article »
